Farwell to a giant

With extreme sadness, great difficulty, and a heavy heart, we inform you that on April 10th, 2023, our dear brother Mukhtar Ahmed Gari, a veteran Harari musician and Watani, passed away.

We mourn the loss of a friend and companion, who impressed everyone with his musical and artistic talents and was an inspirational figure for many Harari musicians and artists.

May Allah bless him and accept him in His grace. Please make Duaa for him and his family to give them the strength to bear this hardship with patience.

We all are going to miss Mukhtar Ahmed Gari tremendously. May Allah grant him Janatul Ferdows.
